Rabat – King Mohammed VI held today a phone conversation with president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, said a statement by the Royal Office.

During this phone call, the sovereign voiced his joy to see president Buhari conduct anew and effectively his mission as leader of this brotherly country after a period of convalescence, it said.

The two heads of states lauded the excellent multidimensional relations between Morocco and Nigeria and their promising prospects, the same source added.

The Moroccan monarch and president Buhari expressed satisfaction with the progress, as well as bilateral exchanges and working sessions relating to the strategic gazoduc project which will link Nigeria to Morocco.

During this phone call, the two leaders recalled the upcoming official visit of president Buhari to the Kingdom at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.
