President Uhuru Kenyatta delivering his statement from State House Nairobi on the eve of the Jubilee Party primaries/PSCU

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 20 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned against any acts of violence in the ongoing party primaries across the country.

President Kenyatta says any aspirant found engaging in violence will face the full force of the law.

There have been acts of violence reported in various parts of the country since last week when the Orange Democratic Movement Party kicked off its nominations.

President Kenyatta, who addressed a press conference at State House Nairobi, a day to the start of the Jubilee Party nominations, says his party will uphold the highest integrity and democracy standards to ensure the will of the people prevails.

The Head of State insists that he has no preferred candidate for any of the seats including Nairobi, where Senator Mike Sonko is engaged in a bitter gubernatorial contest with former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.
