The interruption of water supply is to facilitate repairs on the line/FILE

MOMBASA, Kenya, Oct 9 – Mombasa County is set to experience a three-day water shortage from Monday after the Mzima pipeline was shut for repairs.

According to Mombasa Water Company Communications Manager Sarah Langat, the shutdown will facilitate repair of leakages at the Samburu and Taru sections of the pipeline.

Langat stated that normal water supply as per the distribution programme will affect the mainland areas of Miritini, Changamwe, Magongo, Mikindani, Chaani and parts of the southern Island area.

She stated that normal water supply shall resume as soon as repair works on the sites is complete and urged the residents of the coastal town to be patient
