Twenty people, including several children, have been injured after two taxis collided in Pretoria, paramedics said on Sunday.
“Patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring in a statement.
Approximately seven children were involved in the accident which took place late on Saturday night at the Simon Vermooten and Pretoria Road intersection.
When paramedics arrived on the scene, the two taxis were at the side of the road.
“Several people were found seated inside the vehicles while others were found walking around on the scene.”
The injured were transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
“Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the collision.”
