The Popular Front (FP), on Friday, invited several political parties, organisations and associations to an “urgent coordination meeting” to examine the development of the general situation in the country, as a result of recent price increases.

The meeting, planned this week-end, will focus on ways to address the difficult situation underwent by the country, leader in the Popular Front, Abdelmoumen Belanes told TAP.

While blaming the government for rising prices, Belanes did not exclude the possibility of considering protests in response to soaring prices.

While denouncing the rise in prices decided on the eve of the New Year, the FP had called, last Wednesday, on the various popular, political, social and civil forces to close ranks to cancel the recent price increases and suspend the application of the new finance law.
