Ghanaian music and movie producer Bandex is not ready to accept the second spot as following the traits of Hammer in bread bakery.
Contrary to blog reports that suggest that Ghanaian movie and music producer Ahmed Banda known as Bandex has taken to bread business weeks after former CEO of Last 2 Music, Hammer made his involvement with popular bread A1 known, Bandex has revealed it is only right he sets the records straight.
According to Bandex, it is wrong for people to assert he’s joining the bread business simply because Hammer in a recent interview announced that the bread business was more profitable than music.
“I mean it is wrong for anyone to even say that. I didn’t even know Hammer was involved until recently. I have been in this food business long before people knew. I’ve had my bakery machines stuck in the warehouse for a while and had decided to venture into this long ago. It is admissible Hammer has been very visible with involvement but I’m not doing this because he did. In any case my restaurant serves pizza which almost goes through the same process as baking bread so what’s the big deal?”
On Friday, June 1, 2018, pictures of a tricycle bearing the inscription “Bandex Bread” hit the internet sparking a conversation among industry personalities.
Speaking to Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, Bandex revealed the distribution of his bread “Bandex Bread” started on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, and has so far been good as he anticipated.
“There are hundreds of bakeries in Ghana and we’re not looking at becoming the people’s favourite all of a sudden but the few offices and companies we have approached know of the brand Bandex and have so far accepted us because of the quality of our bread. We hope to build on that gradually.”
Aside from the new bread venture, Bandex owns Bandex Thai Restaurant & Massage and is the first vice chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).
