Veteran journalist  Leonard Mambo Mbotela has for the first time opened up about the love life that saw him get hitched to his radio fan.
” She was my ardent listener and one day she passed by our workplace to greet me and as they say it was  love at first sight and the rest is history ‘” said Mbotela
Mbotela who has carved out  a reputable career in  the world of broadcast media, has had some of his experiences that made his name documented in the books of history, during the 1982 coup d’etat ,Mbotela then working with Kenya broadcasting corporation ( KBC ) was forced by the rebel junior air force officers to announce that the government of President Daniel Arap Moi was had been overthrown before later retracting after receiving orders from loyal officers led by major General Rtd  Mahmoud Mohamed  to give assurance  that the government was intact .
The je huu ni ungwana famed show host has however not had an easy ride with the social interwebs  that astonished Kenyans on mid July 2017 when it carried fake news alleging the journalist had died  prompting Mbotela who had been out of public glare  to come out and clear the air ” I am alive and well there is no cause of alarm.” Said Mbotela.
