Senator Shehu Sani has warned all geopolitical zones to ensure that the promise of presidency coming to their region in 2023 is not all lip service by candidates seeking to secure votes in 2019.
The Senator representing the Kaduna Central District, said any geopolitical zone that is currently being promised power in 2023, must ensure that the agreement is made on paper.
Sani who gave the advise via posts on twitter said the signing of the agreement should be witnessed by religious leaders or traditional rulers.
The lawmaker expressed concern over certain campaign promises that may be a mirage or hoax.
“If they promise your geopolitical zone political power in 2023, demand for a written irreversible & irrevocable agreement, signed by their presidential candidates & party chieftains & witnessed by respected traditional & religious leaders. Gentleman agreement is a hoax & a mirage,” he said.
