Lady Gaga is sticking up for her newfound bestie Cardi B!

On Tuesday, Gaga took to Twitter to support Cardi and put all the haters to rest in the wake of negative feedback amid her Grammy win.

She shared a photo of the two laughing and conversing at the ceremony and wrote, “It is so hard to be a woman in this industry.

“What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art. I love you Cardi.”

She continued her tweet, “You deserve your awards. Let’s celebrate her fight. Lift her up and honor her. She is brave.”

The powerful girl duo became best friends at the award show when Cardi B came up and introduced herself to the Joanne singer.

The two totally had a fangirl moment over each other and honestly, so did we.

It seems as though Cardi has been waiting for that moment for a while now. Back in 2016, according to E!, Cardi tweeted about the mother monster’s influence on her.

“When I was a teenager Lady Gaga changed my life,” she wrote. “She inspired me to be myself & be different.” And while it may have taken just two short years, Gaga has since replied, “Love you girl” to the tweet.

After the hateful judgments from critics bashed the Invasion of Privacy album throughout the week, claiming it did not deserve the win, Cardi did the WORST thing we possibly could imagine.

She quit Instagram

Which is just entirely unfair. What did we do to deserve this punishment?

Cardi’s Instagram stories were absolute entertainment. It was how she expressed herself and communicated with her fans.

Cardi B Does It

The Bodak Yellow rapper created history and became the first female solo artist to win the Best Rap Album category, which stirred some frustration from music supporters. Cardi beat out Travis Scott, T. Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller.

After her monumental win on Sunday, Cardi took to social media to express her gratitude and well to celebrate as Cardi does.

She posted various “thank you” videos, and Cardi uploaded then deleted a lengthy obscene clip defending herself and the hard work she put into this album.

“You know what, it’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else. That’s not my style and thatn’s not what I’m with and I don’t support that.”

“However I’ve been taking a lot of s–t today,” Cardi told her followers.

In a black sweatshirt and her hair down in a braid, she continued, “I’m seeing a lot of bulls–t today and I saw a lot of s–t last night and I’m sick of this s–t. I work hard for my mother f–king album.”

She compared the difference in reactions from last year’s Grammy to where she was nominated for Bodak Yellow but didn’t win, to this year’s victory.

“Everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed! Cardi got snubbed!’ Now this year’s a f–king problem? My album went two times platinum my n—a and every chart that there was my album was always top ten, number one album as well!”

Oh, and she did it all while being pregnant.

Cardi was carrying baby Kulture, born on July 10, while creating the album. “I f–king worked my a– off, locked myself in the studio for three months my n—a and then went to sleep in my own bed sometimes for four days straight – pregnant!” she said about the process.

“Some songs couldn’t even get on my f–king album because my nose was so stuffy from my pregnancy.”

And while there’s always going to be the antagonists of the world, most musicians and rappers took a genuine approach and shared their support for the 26-year-old, first-time winner.

Chance the Rapper called her triumph “overly deserved.”

Jay Cole chimed in and wrote, “I don’t never wanna be propped up by tearing somebody else down. Seeing Cardi b  win a Grammy make me feel like I won.”

Cardi re-tweeted the love and said, “I listen to my album and I cry because I know the hell I went thruu doing the album is always a bittersweet memory.

“THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED ME AND LISTEN. I’m thankful and grateful and again thank you to all the artist that gave me a feature,” she concluded.

And all the love continues, as shown by Gaga who has always been open with how hard it is for women in the music industry.

Lady Gaga Talks

She even recently discussed it during her Best Original Song for a Motion Picture acceptance speech at the 2019 Golden Globes. “As a woman in music it is really hard to be taken seriously,” she told the crowd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, as reported by E!.

But the most important thing we can do is encourage each other and spread the love.

Maybe Gaga’s backing of the “brave” rapper will inspire her to reactivate her Instagram?

That would be greatly appreciated, okurrr!
