Rabat – Internet users worldwide noticed once again a dysfunction on social media platforms.
The social media shutdown started at around 11 a.m.
Facebook users experienced trouble when trying to access the website or to communicate via its mobile application. It was impossible to send pictures or post in the newsfeed.
Whatsapp had trouble related to uploading pictures and communication. Instagram also had the same issues.
It is the second time that the three Facebook-owned applications experienced such issues in a period of 6 months. The first time was on November 19 to 20.
At around 1:30 p.m. everything returned to normal.
Orange communication operator in Morocco posted on Facebook that it is not responsible for the issue.
