WARRI – Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Assembly Candidate for Warri North Constituency in the 2019 general elections, Engr. Kessington Amiwero, has reportedly defeated to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with thousands of his supporters in a carnival-like ceremony.
Amiwero described his defection and that of his loyalists as the best decision due to the performance and development initiative of the incumbent Governor of the State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
The SDP Chieftain stated, “We joined politics to make a difference, but the man on the stage is already fulfilling our aspirations for the state. It is only natural to encourage him to do better by joining hands to fast-track his development plans for all of us.”
He said that Dr. Okowa has already exceeded expectations of Deltans and there is an urgent need to support and encourage him.

“A working and performing administration like that of Okowa is deserving of the support of all men of goodwill. He is committed to the overall development of the state. Dr. Okowa came up with the Smart Agenda and he has kept faith with the people of the state in building a stronger Delta State.
“Delta State is a PDP-oriented state with great minds, representing our state and various local government areas; it’s only paramount that I work with them so as to input my own quota in moving Delta State to that safe haven we have all rightly envisaged,” he stressed.
Amiwero then commended the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party for their unity of purpose in moving the party to a greater height.
He thanked Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi; Delta State PDP Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, Hon. Michael Diden, Dr. Godwin Ebosa, Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Amb. Aduge Okorodudu, Dr. Issac Wilkie and others for their show of love, even as he promised to make the PDP proud.
