Jos – Three persons have been confirmed dead and three others hospitalised in another Jos building collapse.
The present incident is happening less than five months after similar incident occurred in the same Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Daily Independent gathered that the accident happened at an obscure environment situated at Anguwan Rogo Settlement of Jos North Local Government Area.
An official of the Red Cross coordinating Anguwan Rogo community, Mahmud Adamu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Jos.
He said: “This building has collapsed. Upon getting the information, we rushed to the scene and discovered three persons were killed.
“We don’t confirm deaths, but I know we have rescued three persons, two men and a woman who sustained injuries, and we have taken them to the hospital.”
A resident in the neighbourhood of the collapsed building, on anonymity, said it was a bungalow, and later a decking was constructed, with another room built on it, so it suddenly collapsed in the early hours of Monday.
According to him, two persons, a man and a woman, instantly died, another man died later.
“We have observed funeral prayers for the three dead persons,” he said.
The Police Spokesperson, Plateau State Command, DSP Typev Terna, could not be reached when contacted on phone.
