CAF Super League: NFF To Get $1m, As Champions League To Have Name Changed

As the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) is set to officially launch the Super League on Wednesday, more facts have emerged on how it will be staged.

According to the update from Arusha, Tanzania venue of the 44th CAF Congress, the competition will be officially launched on Wednesday and some modalities have been put in place to ensure its smooth running.

Among the fact that emerged is that the regular Champions League will have its name changed to African Champions Cup and also have its group stage abolished.

Another is that each member association that has its club in the Super League will get USD$1 million as a cash reward for participating in the competition.

While the relegated team’s from the competition will join the CAF Confederation Cup.
