It was a big blow for the host of the 4th Window of 2023 FIBA African World Cup qualifiers Cote d’Ivoire on Monday evening after two of their key players withdrew from the team.

The foreign invited players stormed the team’s camp in Abidjan on Monday without the duo of Matt Costello and Assemian Moulare.

Both players played a key role in the team getting to this level and their absence will surely affect the team’s balance.

On the contrary, the return of Souleyman Diabate, who sat out in Window 3 of the African Qualifiers in July, represents a huge addition to the Elephants.
The Ivorians who won all their games in the 3rd Window will face Nigeria’s D’Tigers in the group opening game .
