A mother of five identified as Onyinyechi Ozokolo, recounted how her husband allegedly bit her eye as she attempted to stop him from beating their 13-year-old daughter with machete
Narrating her ordeal, the woman said she has been a victim of domestic violence all through their 13 years of marriage.
It was gathered that Onyinyechi and her husband, Ndubueze Ozokolo, hail from Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State but reside at Coal Camp, Enugu North Council area.
Onyinyechi said the incident happened on August 19, 2022, and that she narrowly survived the ordeal.
She recounted:
“He was beating our daughter with a machete and I tried to stop him from causing grievous harm to the girl. He then turned towards me, held me and bit my left eye. We have been married for 13 years now and my husband has constantly beating me at every slightest provocation and minor issue within the period.”
The husband, however, denied the allegation, claiming that they were fighting when she brought a stone to hit him but the stone fell on her eyes and caused her the injury.
