Qatar 2022: FIFA Releases Official Ranking Teams

The World Soccer ruling body has released the official ranking of teams that participated in the just concluded 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

South American giant Argentina emerged as the winner of the competition after they defeated the defending champions Les Bleus of France 4-2 via a penalty shootout.

According to the ranking, newly crowned champions Argentina is ranked first, followed by first-runners France and Croatia in the 3rd position.

Atlas Lions of Morocco was placed in the 4th position after losing the third-place match to Croatia on Saturday.

Morocco is the highest-ranked African team, and the Teranga Lions of Senegal is ranked 10th and placed second in Africa.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are ranked 19th and 3rd in Africa, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia are ranked 21st and 4th in Africa and the Black Stars of Ghana are ranked 24th and 5th in the continent.

Host country Qatar came last on the ranking table after they lost all their group matches in the competition.
