The final group B game of the ongoing U17 African Cup of Nations lived up to expectations on Saturday and it was Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets that came out on top.

Just as it happened against Morocco, the Nigeria side conceded an early goal from the Amajimbos in the 5th minute through Vicky Mkhawana and took a lead in the game.

Charles Agada levelled the game for Nigeria halfway into the first half before Siyanboga Mabena put South Africa 2-1 ahead just before the half time.

Light Eke equalised for Nigeria in the 50th minute as the 2-time champions continue their domination of the game.

Abubakar Abdullahi put Nigeria ahead for the first time in the game in the 64th minute through an assist from Emmanuel Michael.

The win against South Africa ensured the Golden Eaglets qualified for the quarter-final of the competition with 6 points after three games
