President Ruto Makes Appointments, Revokes Others in Recent Move

Among the notable appointments made by President Ruto is Felicity Nkirote Biriri, who has been appointed as the chairperson of the Warehouse Receipt System Council. Biriri, who brings a wealth of experience to the role, will serve for a duration of three years.

Additionally, Brigadier retired Richard Mbithi has been selected as the chairperson of the East African Portland Cement, and Joseph Ntoeruaki has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service.

Both Mbithi and Ntoeruaki will serve for a period of three years, utilizing their expertise to contribute to the development of their respective sectors.

In another move, Dr. Geoffrey Rukuja, Anthony Mwangi, and Cate Wanjirah have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Tana Water Works.

Their appointment, which is set for two years, will see them working diligently towards improving water management and distribution systems.

Unfortunately, Joseph Gichohi, Patrick Nyoike Njehia, and Winnie Mwai were not fortunate enough to maintain their positions, as President Ruto revoked their appointments.

The residents of Wajir County have welcomed the news of Dr. Siyad Abdullahi’s appointment as a Trustee of the Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund (KHATF) for a three-year term.

Dr. Abdullahi, a former Wajir County gubernatorial candidate and a respected expert in the health sector, is expected to bring invaluable experience to the role.
