West Brom Albion will commence their 2023/2024 championship season without their newly acquired forward Josh Maja.
Maja joined the Baggies this week from the French Ligue One side Girondin Bordeaux and the team manager Carlos Corberan said he will need up to 6 days to meet up with the rest of the squad.
“No, impossible,” Corberan said this morning of Maja featuring.
“He did 8-10 days working with them, so he arrived here with six or seven training sessions with the group.
It means that he is not ready, but he’s available. There’s a difference”, the coach said.
West Brom will face Blackburn Rovers at the Ewood Park on Saturday.
Maja scored 16 goals for Bordeaux last season.
