When the 2024 African Basketball League commences, it will surely be without one of the competition regular comers, Stade De Malien of Mali.
Due to their decent performance in the past, the Malian side is one of the clubs that will join the qualifier at a later stage.
But the update coming from Mali indicates that the club has withdrawn from the competition citing their financial situation as the reason.
Their withdrawal was announced on Monday afternoon and the club management said the club would bounce back strongly.
Stade De Malien finished 3rd in the last edition of the BAL competition.
