After spending almost a month in the treatment room, Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi returned to action for Leicester City on Saturday.

The Foxes suffered a narrow 0-1 home defeat to Leeds United before the international break in a game they missed the service of the Nigerian International.

Injury also ruled out Ndidi from representing Nigeria in the first two matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Leicester City returned to action on Saturday afternoon and recorded a 2-0 win over Watford FC at the King Power Stadium.

Jamie Vardy scored both goals for the host in the 65th and 95th minutes and Ndidi was in action for 68 minutes of the game.
