NBBF Final 4: Rivers Hoopers Shift Attention to BAL, Appreciate Fans

Newly crowned champions of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Basketball League, Rivers Hoopers has shifted attention to the 2024 edition of the Basketball Africa League, BAL.

The KingsMen picked the ticket as Nigeria’s sole representative to the BAL after they defeated Nigeria Customs 77-57 to end the 2023 Premier Basketball League with an unbeaten record of 13 games.

Rivers Hoopers head coach, Ogoh Odaudu appreciated the fans for their tremendous support during the competition which was played in Port Harcourt.

According to him; “A big thank you to the fans. They have been fantastic. We really appreciate the fans and we hope they will continue cheering us.”

An excited Bolaji Emilagba expressed joy and happiness returning to the elite basketball club competition in Africa adding that they would go back to camping ahead of preparations.

He said: “We will be going to the BAL. We have a lot of preparations to do. We are going to celebrate this. The celebration won’t be a for a long time. We will definitely going back to the camp to start getting ready for BAL. I’m really excited right now.”

The victory cemented Rivers Hoopers’ supremacy as the unbeaten Kings of Nigerian Basketball having gone through all phases of the league without tasting defeat.
