Niger Tornadoes and Heartland FC have undergone series of training programs since the commencement of the first round break ahead of the second stanza of the NPFL.
Acting Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Majin Mohammed led his team on a friendly tour of Abuja where they engaged in some test matches and recorded a win, draw and tested one defeat.

Elsewhere, Heartland FC thrashed Pakat FC of Owerri 6-1 in a friendly game played at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri with Onyekachi Okafor in devastating form with a hat-trick while fast rising Nigeria Nationwide League One side, Ikukuoma FC of Mbaise were not spared. They were beaten 3-1.
Heartland FC also faced a Nekede based non- league side and it was 7-2 at the end of the fixture.
Heartland FC Technical Adviser, Christian Obi applauded the performance of his new look team and urged them to maintain the momentum when the second stanza starts to ensure the Owerri side get out of the relegation zone.
