The Ivorian Football Federation has presented the 2023 African Cup of Nations trophy to the country’s Defence and Security forces.
Despite struggling at the group stage of the competition the Elephants rose to the occasion when it mattered most and emerged as the winner of the title.
They came from a goal down to beat Nigeria’s Super Eagles 2-1 in the final.
The football accompanied by the president of the country Alassane Ouattara took the trophy to the Defence and Security on Tuesday morning.
Ivory Coast has now equalled the record of Nigeria winning the cup on 3 occasions
