The President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Tijani Babangida, has recovered from his auto crash injuries and can now walk without much pain after having his leg cast removed by the doctors.

In May, Tijani narrowly escaped death in a tragic car accident. His younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida, passed away at the scene, while his nephew Fadil, the infant son of former Ajax Amsterdam legend, died less than 24 hours later during surgery.

The Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games gold medalist, was driving with his family members when he ran into a moving trailer along the Kaduna -Zaria Road when the accident occurred.

In a short video made available from the hospital , the doctor said: “You can now walk without problem, move your knee but avoid stressing your leg (right).

” After two (2) weeks, you (Tijani) need to have an X-ray on your leg. ”

Meanwhile, it’s cheery news for Tijani as his wife who has been receiving care at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria after undergoing facial surgery, has been granted a territorial visa by the Netherlands to be flown abroad for further medical treatment.
