The 2024 African Cup 7s championship kicks off on Saturday and the Nigerian Rugby team has landed in Mauritius the venue of the event.
According to the Nigerian Rugby Football Federation, the team comprising of foreign and home-based players are ready to make the country proud.
The championship will be played in two rounds at the Labourdonnais Sports Club, Mapou .
Twelve countries including Nigeria are expected to compete in both rounds of the tournament, with winnerwinnersed by points collected after the two rounds.
The Nigerian side is placed in group A alongside Kenya, Madagascar and the host Mauritius.
The competition is slated to go on June 29 – 30, and July 6 – 7, 2024.
