The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is ready for a two way battle with its Egyptian counterpart for the services of Hervé Renard to become their new head coach for the Super Eagles and Pharaohs respectively.
It wad sourced on Footmercato on Thursday, like Egypt, the NFF has tabled an offer of around €2m-a-year (about ₦3,416,682,810 billion) for the Frenchman who has expressed his desire to leave the France women’s football team after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Recall, three-time AFCON champion Nigeria is without an Head Coach for the Super Eagles, following the resignation of Finidi George, after a string of poor results in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In recent months, Renard has decided not to leave too much suspense regarding his future.
Meanwhile, another African team is following this development closely and has already spoken with the former coach of Saudi Arabia without making an offer.
