The Sporting Director of the German Bundesliga champion Bayer Leverkusen Simon Rofles has backed Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface to bounce back stronger.
Boniface joined the German side last summer and he started the season strongly before injury set in for him.
The Nigerian International scored 16 goals and 9 assists in the first half of the season.
According to Rofles, he admitted that is not always easy to return to form almost immediately after injury believing that Boniface will be back strongly in the coming season.
” After the injury is not easy for Boniface to regain the explosiveness to be able to enter into a duel, physically but also mentally.
“It always takes a little time also to regain confidence in yourself and your body.
” He’ll be in a completely different state at the start of the season,” he said.
