Kagame: Morocco Govt Boosts Ties with Rwanda

The President of the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research, Habib El Malki, represented King Mohammed VI at the swearing-in ceremony for Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Kigali on Sunday.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by various heads of state and government, members of the diplomatic corps in Rwanda, and other distinguished guests.

Youssef Imani, the Moroccan ambassador to Rwanda, accompanied El Malki.

President Kagame secured a fourth term in office after winning the July elections by a substantial margin, obtaining over 98% of the vote in the first round.

King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to President Kagame on his re-election, extending warm wishes for continued success in his important missions.

The King lauded Kagame for earning the renewed trust of the Rwandan people and expressed his commitment to working closely with him to enhance relations between Morocco and Rwanda.

The message spotlighted Morocco’s dedication to fostering a fruitful partnership that serves the mutual interests of both nations and promotes solidarity and integration across the African continent.
