Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman was the hero again in Atalanta’s 3-2 win over Fiorentina.
Lookman has been in good form since the start of the season and his goals contributed to the Super Eagles 3-0 win over Benin in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
In the encounter played in Bergamo, Martinez put Fiorentina ahead earlier in the game and Retegui netted the equalizer.
Italian star Moise Kean put the away side ahead again and Belgian international Ketelaere equalized.
Just before the halftime, Lookman settled the game with the winning goal and all the efforts of Fiorentina to come back in the second half proved abortive.
