The Libyan Football Federation has revealed the roster of 28 Mediterranean Knights who will face three-time champions Super Eagles in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers scheduled for October.
The Mediterranean Knights are scheduled to play two very important matches against the Super Eagles on Matchday 3 and 4 of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations, which will be held next year in Morocco.
The Libyan national team will be hosted by its Nigerian counterpart on Friday, October 11, and then the confrontation between them will be renewed on October 15 in Libya.
The Mediterranean Knights occupy the 4th place in Group D in the AFCON qualifiers with one point, which it earned from its draw at home with the Rwandan national team in the first round, and in the second round, it lost the result of its match against the host Benin national team. Nigeria tops Group D with 4 points, followed by Benin with 3 points and Rwanda with 2 points.

Coach Nasser Al-Hadhiri chose former international player and sports analyst Abu Bakr Al-Hark as his assistant within the technical staff, in addition to former international goalkeeper Misbah Shanqab as goalkeeper coach.
