Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has finally opened up on what happened about his move away from the Italian Serie A Napoli.
The lanky attacker joined the Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray on loan after his move to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia and Chelsea collapsed on the deadline day of the transfer.
Osimhen said he had the plans to stay and play with the Napoli Reserves instead allowing people to decide for him.
” I had plans to stay at Napoli and wait for 3 months, possibly leaving in January, but I wasn’t going to let anyone decide for me”.
” It was important for me to stay since I didn’t get the move I really wanted”.
” When Galatasaray’s coach called, it was really convincing, he told me what he wanted to achieve this season and I could see his ambition not just as a coach but also as a person and a father”, he told TRT Spor.
