With the group stage of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier set to resume, the crisis is currently rocking the group opponent of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The coach of the Amavubi of Rwanda, Frank Spittler, on Monday morning, stepped down from his position.
Spittler has been in charge of the team in the past years, and he has been able to revitalise the team. Rwanda is presently topping their group in the 2026 World Cup qualifier and not doing badly in the group of the 2025 AFCON qualifier.
But the reason he decided to step down from his position is yet to be unravelled.
He further stated that he will not renew his contract after it expires at the end of October 2024.
Rwanda will confront Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the final match day of the AFCON 2025 qualifier in Uyo.
