Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia defender Ashleigh Plumptre said she is happy to play for Super Falcons again.
After representing Nigeria at the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Plumptre has been out of the team.
She missed the last Olympic Games in Paris due to an injury sustained during a league game. Justin Madugu handed Plumptre an invitation for the upcoming international friendly against France.
” Feels great to have made the Super Falcons list for the upcoming international games. Good opportunity to fight for the badge again,” Plumptre wrote on social media.
The lanky defender is expected to be in the starting lineup for the game slated for Anger in France.
