Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman has been crowned the 2024 African Player of the Year at Monday’s 2024 CAF Awards at the Palais des Congrés in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.
His three goals and two assists were pivotal to Nigeria reaching their eighth Africa Cup of Nations Final in Cote d’Ivoire in February, and his hat-trick in a 3-0 win handed Italian side, Atalanta FC the UEFA Europa Cup at the expense of hitherto-rampaging German side, Bayer Leverkusen in May.
In 2024, Lookman won the Europa League, Atalanta Player of the Season, and was named Europa League Team of the Year, Hat Trick vs Leverkusen in the Europa League final.
Others include; 18 G/A in Serie A last season, 16 G/A in Serie A and UCL so far this season.
