Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has raised an alarm that N180 million is missing from his NGO account.
VeryDarkMan alleged that cyber criminals hacked into his NGO purse through the official website and made away with the sum of N180 million.
The social media activist released a video in which he informed his followers and well-wishers.
In the video, VDM said he was at the airport lobby waiting for his flight to Jos alongside a security official who was aiding him in fishing out the criminals.
He said, “I’m at the airport. I’ll be honest with you guys. For the past few days, I’ve not been myself. I’m here with Officer Joe and we are going to Jos. Somebody hacked into the NGO website and I don’t know how they did it: 180 million is missing.
The activist and content creator also notified the public that one of the hackers had been arrested.
He added that the goal of his trip to Jos with the security personnel was to find the other criminal and regain the stolen funds.
He continued, “Thank God we have tracked the person and we are on our way to Jos. They’ve arrested one. I’m excited. And an account has been put on PND. So, the account now has 20 million. 160 million has been diverted to another account.
“So, we are currently going there to see how I’ll get the money back. So, I just want to update you people. I even had to shut down the app.
