Basking in the euphoria of successful hosting and organisation of AFCON qualifier match between Super Eagles and Lesotho on Tuesday, the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Gafar Bolowotan has stated the Lagos state is ready to host many more of Super Eagles matches.
Speaking with Tribunesports shortly after the AFCON qualifier which saw the national triumph with 3-0, Bolowotan who expressed happiness with the successful hosting of the match said the state has all ot takes to host many more matches with the support if the Sports loving governor of the state.
According to him the process of hosting national team in the state has been on for some time now and that he is very happy that the dream has finally come to reality.
“Lagos state last hosted the Super Eagles 20 years ago, and we are happy to bring football back to the state. The fans trooped out in large numbers to cheer the team to victory and it was not just a victory but a resounding 3-0 victory and AFCON qualifier for that matter. The Governor is ready and we have the personnel as well as facilities. Lagos is ready for national team” he said.
