Ghanaian-Nollywood actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has advised men against caressing a woman’s vagina with dirty hands and saliva during sexual intercourse.

Juliet raised this as a personal hygiene they should know and do before and after sex.

While advising the vagina is to be clean and healthy, Juliet characterized the vagina as “a very delicate” part of the body and a “woman’s temple.”

According to her, men should wash their hands and brush their teeth before and after indulging in oral sex.

She posted on Instagram:

“I cannot believe that in 2022, I am (still) arguing with a friend who sees nothing wrong with these things. Her excuse was that, ‘What if it’s a quickie’?” she wrote.

“Honestly, guys, please take this from me; a woman’s vagina is very delicate. It is her temple. Help her to keep it clean, safe and healthy. Stop using dirty hands and saliva on it.

“Brush your teeth and tongue before and after oral sex, and cut your nails before any touching. Germs that cause bacteria are bred on such. Girls, please learn these basic hygiene practices and stay clean.”

Felice Gersh, a doctor and author of ‘PCOS SOS: A Gynecologist’s Lifeline to Naturally Restore Your Rhythms, Hormones, and Happiness’ had previously explained why using saliva in the vagina just might be dangerous

“Any STI in the throat or mouth can be transmitted to the genitals through saliva,” Gersh told Health.
