Arsenal eyeing creativity
Arsenal’s desire to add to their ranks in the middle of the park has been evident for some time now.
Technical director Edu publicly voiced the opinion last month that it is clear the club require more creativity in the middle of the park.
In turn, the Gunners have been linked with a host of creative midfielders.
Recent RB Leipzig addition Dominik Szoboszlai was heavily linked with the north Londoners before his Germany switch was made official, whilst Isco, Julian Brandt and Emiliano Buendia have also been touted as potential January reinforcements.
Arsenal’s search for a creative midfielder
Now, Dean Jones has recently provided an update on the Gunners’ reported search for creativity in the middle of the park.
Jones claims that Arsenal are now starting to explore loan options to help boost their creativity.
The Gunners are said to have been impressed with Emile Smith Rowe of late, with the youngster of course playing a key role in recent wins over Chelsea, West Brom and Newcastle.
However, Jones states that the north Londoners feel it would be unfair to rely on him week in week out, which makes sense given his age and serious lack of Premier League football.
Jones would also provide an update on Arsenal’s aforementioned pursuit of Norwich’s Buendia.
Arsenal are believed to have expected the midfielder to be available for around £25m, though Norwich have since put a £40 price-tag on him. Crucially though, Jones adds Arsenal haven’t given up on that situation just yet.
