Arsenal have this evening revealed the latest on the fitness of Dani Ceballos, in anticipation of the club’s meeting with Sheffield United.

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Mikel Arteta’s men are set to return to Premier League action tomorrow afternoon.

The Gunners fell to their first defeat of the campaign this past Monday, as the class of champions Liverpool proved too much at Anfield.

Arsenal, in typical fashion under Arteta, though, since bounced back, ousting Liverpool from the League Cup on Thursday night, to book their spot in the competition’s quarter-finals.

And the fixtures continue to come thick and fast for the north Londoners, with a league meeting with Sheffield United next up on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Wilder’s Blades, unlike their hosts tomorrow, have endured an altogether disappointing opening to the campaign, amid a run of 4 consecutive defeats across all competitions.

Ceballos latest

As such, heading into proceedings in less than 24 hours’ time, Arsenal will no doubt be confident in their chances of bagging all 3 points.

And, as outlined above, ahead of the matchup, an update on the fitness of one of the club’s star men has been forthcoming online.

The individual in question is Dani Ceballos.

Spanish midfielder Ceballos was hauled off during the 2nd-half of Arsenal’s midweek win over Liverpool, with concern having since surrounded the midfielder.

As confirmed this evening, however, fans of the Gunners need not fret, with Ceballos’ League Cup substitution having simply been precautionary.

He will therefore be available for selection versus Sheffield United:

Dani Ceballos
Substituted as a precaution at Liverpool on Thursday with tight thigh/groin. Has recovered and trained well since. Available for selection.

An update on fellow midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, meanwhile, has also been forthcoming:

Now back in full training further to shoulder injury sustained in August.
