Three ladies from Luanda town were said to have been struck to death by lightning during heavy rains on Sunday evening.
The women had taken shelter under a shed along the road.
Their identities are yet to be revealed.
However, a few of the people who reached the scene said two are banana sellers in Luanda town and a middle-aged girl.
Luanda OCPD, David Ndirangu confirmed the incident, saying:
“I have been informed by the local authority that three people have been killed by lightning during this evening’s down pour.
“It’s unfortunate that the three ladies had taken shade in a kiosk just beside the road.”
