Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has recently commented on Arsenal’s reported interest in Julian Brandt.
Arsenal eyeing creative midfielder
Arsenal’s desire to add to their ranks in the middle of the park has been evident of late.
Technical director Edu publicly voiced the opinion last month that it is clear the club require more creativity in the middle of the park.
The Gunners have also been linked with a host of creative midfielders.
Recent RB Leipzig addition Dominik Szoboszlai was heavily linked with the north Londoners before his Germany switch was made official, whilst Isco and Emiliano Buendia have also been touted as potential January reinforcements.
And now, over recent days, yet another creative midfield presence has been widely tipped for a move to the Emirates.
That man is Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt, with Bild reporter Christian Falk having suggested that the German has emerged as a serious target for Arsenal.

Dortmund chief responds to Brandt transfer speculation
Brandt enjoyed a solid 2019/20 campaign, racking up seven goals and 13 assists for BVB.
The midfielder hasn’t fared anywhere near as well this time around, though, having registered just one goal and one assist in 22 outings.
Such a poor return is likely to concern Arsenal’s fans, should their club indeed opt to pursue Brandt.
If recent comments on the part of Dortmund’s sporting director are anything to go by, however, then, as things stand at least, the north Londoners haven’t stepped forward in any efforts to sign the 24-year-old.
When quizzed on the Gunners’ links to Brandt during a recent interview, Michael Zorc explained:
“I read that too, I can’t say more about it. Nobody has contacted us, there is nothing on the table – and not even in the fax machine.”
