It is happy time for the duo of singers and songwriters Adekunle Gold and Simi as their daughter, Adejare, clocked one today.
With a new mind-blowing and captivating set of pictures to mark their daughter’s big day, Gold said he could not even believe that he has become a father for one year, describing the feeling as awesome.
“You have blessed our lives with so much sunshine in the last one year and I am happy you are my baby,” Gold said.
Simi and Gold got married in 2019 after months of speculations about their relationship with fans probing to know if there was more to their closeness than meet the eye.
They both tied the knot in Lagos in a quiet ceremony that looked like music video shoot as only a few close friends and family were granted access to witness their big day.
Simi got pregnant months later and they both welcome their first daughter together in the US during the pandemic.
In her words, Simi described her little daughter as Ayanfe and the love of life who has motherhood so beautiful for her in the last one year.
“I am so excited to see you blossom and grow and I bless you with mu heart, soul and spirit. As your mother, I bless you the way only a mother can and I pray that you will never lack good things of life. You are the light of the world my angel,” she wrote.
