Nissi, the sister of Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy, has responded to Davido’s dismissive comment about her brother, throwing shade in the process.
According to report, Davido referred to Burna Boy as an upcoming artist during a recent interview.
In a trending clip, Davido talked about his and Wizkid’s early success and expressed joy in seeing new artists like Burna Boy, Mayorkun, Asake, and others thriving.
“Me and Wizkid were one of the first to blow it up, it feels good seeing the new cats coming up like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, a lot of new cats coming, killing it, Asake that’s on my album, so yeah I think the future of Afrobeats is in good hands.”
Nissi took to her comment section and threw shade at Davido by sharing a clip of Burna Boy’s recent performance. She sarcastically referred to her brother as a “new cat” and mentioned that he is facing his hustle.
In another post, she shared a video of Governor Wike indirectly responding to his critics with the caption, “Wike is indirectly saying; As e dey pain Dem e dey sweet us.”
Davido’s comment may be seen as a response to Burna Boy previously referring to him as his junior in a previous post.
