Cinema Revenue Soars: Nigerian Cinema Association Generates N566 Million in April

The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) has reported a significant boost in revenue, generating N566 million from ticket sales nationwide in April.

This update was shared by Mr. Opeyemi Ajayi, the National Chairman of CEAN, in a statement released in Lagos and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Ajayi highlighted the notable increase in revenue compared to the previous month of March, where N441 million was generated. Additionally, he noted that the number of cinema visitors also saw a surge, with 220,781 viewers in April compared to 174,071 viewers in March.

In his statement, Ajayi expressed satisfaction with the continued growth in sales for CEAN during April. He revealed that the month featured several movies, including “Domitilla,” “John Wick,” “Super Mario Boss,” “Honey Money,” and “The Bloom Boys.”

Looking ahead to May, Ajayi encouraged cinema enthusiasts to anticipate upcoming releases such as “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Bride Price,” “Love Again,” “Fast X,” and “Little Mermaid.”

With these positive developments, the Nigerian cinema industry continues to showcase its resilience and ability to attract audiences, offering a diverse range of entertainment options.
