Nigerian-American Afrobeats sensation Davido, British-Gambian rapper J Hus, and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif have been announced as the headlining acts for the 2023 AfroFuture Festival, as revealed by Culture Management Group (CMG) on Tuesday.

The AfroFuture Festival is scheduled to take place from December 28 to 29 at El Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana. This year’s theme, “Black Unification & Pan Africanism,” pays tribute to the accomplishments of Black trailblazers across the diaspora and emphasizes their contributions to art, culture, and innovation.

Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and co-founder of AfroFuture, stated in a press release, “AfroFuture has always been more than just a festival; it’s a comprehensive celebration of all things African—our culture, our people, our talents. It serves as a platform to recognize and appreciate the significant impact we have on the world.”

AfroFuture will feature a two-week expo of digital experiences, wellness sessions, screenings, and panel discussions, an entrepreneurial pitch competition in partnership with Pharrell Williams’ non-profit organization, Black Ambition, the Rising Star challenge for emerging artists seeking an opportunity to perform at this year’s AfroFuture Festival and promote their music to a wider audience.
