Popular Nigerian DJ, DJ Obi has dragged Bankole Wellington (Banky W) as he joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Earlier on Friday, Banky W confirmed his defection to the PDP and unveiled plans to contest again for the House of Representatives (Eti-Osa Constituency), after losing in 2015.
His defection led to several criticisms as some condemned him of feasting with ‘corrupt politicians’ by joining the PDP while others commended his determination to join the opposition party as an alternative for him to be voted for and win.
Reacting to Banky’s statement on Instagram, DJ Obi inquired him to step down and allow important cared politicians willing to risk it all, to change Nigeria.
He told Banky W, Nigeria needs real politicians and not an individual who alters career everyday.
DJ Obi said, “Anywhere breeze blow you dey there. Today pastor, tomorrow artist, next tomorrow politician. Next week deliverance ministry, next month new single on the way. ABEG! We need real politicians.
“This is not a popularity contest. We are serious about our country, Nigeria is on the verge of getting on the path of greatness, we need solid men that are willing to loose it all for this nation to work and work well. The work ahead is not for the weak hearts No be now I go talk.
“This closet MF is still disg*sting. It will all play out and I won’t be silent, I will be part of that call out ALL DAY! Na me just won start am, the rest will join in
later with RECEIPTS!
