DJ Tim Westwood refers to Black Sherif as the “Future of Ghanaian Music”

British DJ and media personality, Tim Westwood has referred to the fast-rising rapper, Black Sherif as the “Future of Ghanaian Music.

Westwood said this while responding to questions about the Ghanaian music industry on TV3’s ‘Newday’ show whilecommending Black Sherif’s flourishing music career.

According to Westwood, the ‘Kwaku the traveller’ crooner has what it takes to ensure a great change in the Ghanaian music industry.

Westwood said, “He is going to go worldwide and I am anticipating hosting Black Sherif on my show in the UK.

“The energy right now is amazing. Black Sherif is the number one artist in the world. So many artists out of Ghana are doing amazing things at the moment. It’s great to be part of it.

“Back home, like people in the UK, Christmas is legendary in Ghana. It’s a legendary moment. It’s like the number 1 destination not just for people homecoming but people throughout the world.”

The UK-based DJ is in Ghana ahead of this year’s Easter festive celebrations program named, ‘Easter Club Invasion’ which will be held respectively in Kumasi and Osu on April 14 and 15, 2022.
