Eddy Kenzo offered $500 to a DJ whose daughter has been on oxygen therapy for three months due to heart disease.

The deejay, who introduced himself as DJ Shiru and hails from Mukono, said medical bills have forced him to sell his car and music equipment.

“My name is DJ Shiru and I hail from Mukono. I have a daughter who is suffering from heart disease. She’s been on oxygen therapy for three months,” the deejay said while speaking during a meeting between deejays and leaders of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) on Tuesday, July 18.

“I was asking anyone who can help to help… because I even sold my Vitz, music player and a laptop to be able to raise funds.”

Kenzo offered him the aforementioned amount, which is about Shs2 million and promised to mobile artists to commit more funds.

“I will talk to musicians… but I will personally give $500 in cash. But I will try to mobilise money for you,” he said.
