Entertainers storm Osun to bid Julius Orlando goodbye

Nigerian entertainers stormed Ijebu Ijesha, Osun State, on Saturday, May 28, 2022, for the burial of the late singer and saxophonist, Julius Ekemode, popularly known as Orlando Julius.

On Friday, a Christian wake was held at Oke Agboja, in Ijebu Ijesha while the burial service took place at the Saint Matthew’s Church inthe town.

Some of the notable figures at the ceremonies were award-winning filmmaker Tunde Kelani; chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria, Tony Okoroji; a former president of the Performing Musicians Association Nigeria, Tee Mac Iseli; director, Richard Cole; and singer, Yinka Davies.

It will be recalled that the late Julius died in his sleep on April 15, 2022.

Latoya Ekemode, the wife of the singer said, “Yes, my husband passed on late last night. There was no indication that death was coming (because) he was not ill. He only slept (normally) and died in his sleep.
